While I have a few misgivings about The Last Jedi, I would be hard-pressed to declare it objectively 'bad.' It's a fun romp for a new generation, and the minds in charge of the franchise should be allowed to experiment with the series' formula. However, and I lament we have to address this matter before continuing, I do not despise the current batch of Disney movies.
For fans of the original Expanded Universe, it was an exciting announcement, and one met with universal praise.
